Standing up by sitting down

But here is where Pencilhead Paperneck made his mistake. What do you do when you are asked to “pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republican for which it stands” when the Republic no longer stands for what it was founded to represent? How do you honor the good and rebuke the bad in a country that has lost her way?

Kaepernick was right to stand up by sitting down. He simply was doing it for the wrong reasons.

I bet he doesn’t even eat spinach from a can

It still cracks me up. All those people having a hissy-fit. I don’t stand for any pledge and/or allegiance. I was once taken to task at a church years ago for that. I just told them, “Is this a House of God, or a house of the United States?” Let’s face it, every time you pledge this or that allegiance, you are de-facto pledging allegiance to THE GOVERNMENT. Ya know, that same government you love to hate? You are pledging allegiance to everything your government represents. If you tell me that you stand because of… some ideal, I ask you what ideal? You’re pledging to something that doesn’t exist. What are you pledging allegiance to? The constitution? Are you stoo-pid? Maybe freedom and liberty? Are you that ignorant? You might as well get on your knees and pray to, and worship, demons.

Ya know, our Founders didn’t start the day with the Pledge of Allegiance. They didn’t start the day with The Star Spangled Banner. They started it with prayer.
